Sanya Lopez was all smiles when her primetime series "First Lady" won a Special Citation as Best Drama Series/Program at the 44th Catholic Mass Media Award. But just as she was walking towards the stage to receive the award, something totally unexpected happened: The strap of her stiletto heel suddenly broke!

Handling the wardrobe malfunction like a boss, the actress laughed it off and was escorted to the stage.
It turns out, Sanya's character on "First Lady" experienced a similar mishap. On Instagram, the actress posted a clip of when Yaya Melody tripped in front of everyone after being introduced as the "First Lady" of Glenn Acosta (Played by Gabby Concepcion.)
"I didn't expect na same scene sa First Lady ay mauulit ulit sa pagtanggap ko ng award sa Catholic Mass Media Award," she wrote. "It could be [a] sign of something that I should be thankful for dahil sa mga blessings that I'm receiving. Thank you CMMA. I'm so grateful for the award. Maraming maraming salamat po. [On] behalf of the cast and production of First Lady, we are deeply honored." Congratulations, Sanya!
P.S. Be careful of wearing shoes that you haven't worn in a long time, especially due to the pandemic. Over time, shoes that are stored in a closet become brittle and are prone to breaking. Also, when in doubt, opt for platforms with thick straps—they tend to give you more stability and better balance compared to stilettos with thin straps!
