Let’s be real here, when it came to underwear, the only thing that mattered to us teenage girls back in the day was that they were cute. Think flowery patterns with lace bordering—boxes of which mom used to bring home from Divisoria or Avon. And hey, not only were they pretty, these undies were also very comfortable, most probably because it’s made of cotton. But as we grew up, things changed. Aside from the fact that you’re the one who buys your own packs of undies now, your requirements for them, are different too. It’s purposeful and intentional now, and a bit more mature (not that there’s anything wrong with the floral ones; we love our granny panties, too).

In the case of this writer, I aim for the same comfort, function, and support those floral undies gave—sans the panty lines. You know what we mean, those darn bands that always make themselves known when you’re wearing tight-fitting clothes and bottoms or dresses (items that make up this writer’s whole wardrobe). It’s also the same garter that leave itchy marks around your waist and thighs. Well, thank god for seamless panties. And thank god, specifically, for local brand Ecora's version.

Here's what we think about this seamless underwear from Ecora

ECORA

Aptly named the Super Comfort, these seamless panties feel, well, super comfortable. As seamless underwear usually is, it has no garter or elastic bands present in the lining. Gone are the days when I had to discreetly adjust my undies because the bands were sinking into my skin. It’s ideal if you love wearing tight-fitting bottoms, dresses, or bodycons.

As proof of just how comfortable it is, I always end up with a nagging thought in my head as I'm out and about in it: “Wait a minute, I am wearing undies, right?”. It's a feeling I still have to get used to.

It’s soft to the touch. Stretchy. Lightweight. It gently hugs my waist (settling just below the belly button)—which I personally love when it comes to bottoms and undies. I'm a size XS, so I was a bit worried that it wouldn't be the case. It comes in one size and one size plus, which they said can fit into any body frame. And it does. It hugs and clings. Like second skin. Other seamless panties I've tried have always felt too constricting, or their material not breathable enough, so this was definitely welcome.

As is, the lining (which is made of premium cotton and antibacterial material) in the crotch area does morph into your coochie. So yes, the camel toe is there. As long as you're not wearing tights, it doesn't pose a problem. When it comes to bodyfit dresses or jumpsuits, the seamless tag really proves itself true.

I got one in a nude colorway dubbed Skin, true to the “second skin” part. But it’s also available in black, pink, and blue, should you want a variety. The price at P199 is not bad for a piece as comfortable as this. If you're a first-timer wanting to make a switch and looking for a good start to your seamless journey, this is perfect. It's also available on Shopee.
