I'm the type of person who always finds an excuse to wear sneakers. Whether I'm attending something casual or a formal event, I can find a way to make sneakers work for my outfit. I swear by their style versatility and comfort.
Even if I'm short, I still prioritize sneakers over heels. I just ~can't~ with the pain of wearing sky-high stilettos anymore. But during moments when I need a height boost to give me a shot of extra confidence, I turn to platform and chunky sneakers.

Confession: I always check the Adidas app if they've got new releases. I grew up with this brand, and I can't even recall the number of Stan Smith and Superstar pairs I've worn out. This new version of Superstar comes with a platform sole that adds a cool height boost, and I pair this often with my jeans that I haven't sent to the tailor yet. The iconic three stripes add a cool accent to my basic or ~outrageous~ outfits.

Vans Canvas Sentry Old Skool WC Shoes
This shoe reminds me of the chunky canvas sneakers I wore when I was a kid! I love the Vans heritage stripe detail and the off-white chunky sole. These elements add to this sneaker's classic vibe. Another plus: It's in black so I can wear it with dark-colored outfits or on rainy days.

Skechers D'Lites 4.0
I'm carbon-dating myself for this but I was one of those kids who begged my mom to get me a pair of Skechers D'Lites. This shoe was what the popular girls wore to school, and I didn't want to be left out. Now that I'm an adult, I've acquired three pairs of D'Lites. These are so comfy that I can walk all day in these shoes!

Converse Chuck Taylor All Star Move Platform
I originally wanted the Run Star Hikes, but when I tried a pair in-store, I found that the chunky design overwhelmed my ~short~ legs. I then discovered the All-Star Move Platform, and I never looked back. I got an all-white high-top pair because I believe it also looks like white chunky boots. I worked my Chuck Taylor All Star Move Platform at the 2023 Preview Ball All-White Party. It added a height boost but it didn't kill my feet!
