If there's any fashion lesson Bridgerton has taught us, it's that corsets should be in your 2021 wardrobe. Cinched waists and pressed boobs are all the rage, thanks to the period Netflix series.
But of course, since we're living in 2021, we're not forcing you to just wear dresses and ball gowns. You can channel your inner Daphne Bridgerton with corset tops, and pair it with jeans, shorts, and casual skirts. In fact, we found the perfect Instagram shop to cater to your needs.
Closet by Mika has been selling pre-loved clothes since 2018. In November 2019, Angelica Dela Cruz, the owner and namesake of the shop, was clinically diagnosed with Bipolar Disorder and became a registered Person with Disability. She decided to prioritize her health, and she fell in love with sewing and fashion design. (She told Cosmopolitan that she learned the techniques by watching a lot of YouTube and TikTok videos. Wow!) She began to drop limited-edition collections of pretty corset tops. Her recent release was made of upcycled shirts!
Aside from being a sustainable brand, Closet by Mika supports the education of scholars under the For Our Farmers program. It's truly a project made out of love. ;)

Old shirts to be upcycled.

The corsets are made-to-order. You would have to wait for one to two weeks for your item to arrive.

She also creates corset tops using special fabrics. Each top costs P,2500 and are available in limited quantities.
