Whether you're a die-hard K-Fan or not, you've probably heard of the brand Gentle Monster. No, not the bag brand that everyone's going crazy over, that's the Thai brand Gentle Woman. We're talking about the Korean eyewear brand that's been seen on thousands of K-Dramas and has been worn by both Western and Eastern celebrities alike. In case you've been wanting to cop a pair of your own but are bothered by the fact that you can only get it abroad, well that's about to change as we've spotted the brand in Manila.

Here's what we know about the first Gentle Monster store in Manila:

If you're curious about the exact location, don't worry as it's quite easy to find. We saw the Gentle Monster sign right along 5th Avenue, in what was once Mango's storefront on the ground floor of Shangri-la The Fort. Gentle Monster only has one side of its store covered up with the usual board-up (the side facing One Bonifacio High Street) while the main store entrance (facing Central Square) is clad in glass with the name in a chic grey signage.

While there's no word yet as to when the shop will open, we're definitely keeping our ears on the ground.
Founded by Kim Han Kook in 2011, Gentle Monster primarily caters to the Asian market with oversized silhouettes that further emphasize the Asian beauty standard of small heads and faces. They've since collaborated with various celebrities like Jennie of BLACKPINK as well as top fashion houses like Fendi, Alexander Wang, and Moncler to name a few.
Gentle Monster's first Philippine store is at 5th Avenue, Bonifacio Global City, Taguig.
